Our Goals...

Our goal is to serve as a "Hub" for our communities. As of 2014, we are active in both Missouri and Southern Illinois. As a hub, we will bridge organizational cracks, uniting in the fight against Sex Trafficking. This includes referrals to local organizations, agencies and ministries to help every survivor. Referrals outside our organization will help us help them, and another step closer to achieving the global goal. The mission is Three-Fold:

W.O.R.D Recovery Teams, composed of community volunteers, staff professionals and graduating clients, will meet victims where they are, and inspire them to a new journey. We will be a visible strength in the community. We will be in the streets ministering to women who are in the midst of pimp-controlled prostitution. We will guide the runaways, throwaways and homeless youth to a new place of belonging. We will take the emergency necessities to them for survival, and leave them with a word of encouragement and planted seeds of love, and assurance God has a greater destiny for them. These Street Missions are twice monthly, at known critical locations throughout the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County, and towns/cities throughout the Southern Illinois surrounding areas. We will collaborate with other outreach ministries, philanthropic organizations and churches to achieve this goal.

W.O.R.D Recovery Center will host yearly symposiums for the community bringing additional awareness to the issue of sex trafficking, exploitation and abuse. We will invite various levels of law enforcement, government, and local organizations to present to citizens crucial information to help recognize survivors, and how the community may get involved. To put an end to sex trafficking, it will take a mutual, global committmen. We will collaborate with local and national coalitions to be a viable resource in the war to end sex trafficking. WORD Staff will train businesses, churches, ministries, and educational institutions on the issue of sex trafficking, exploitation and abuse.
