“I’ve been held down like a piece of meat while monsters disguised as men violated me again & again. ” ― Gladys Lawson, Blood Borne Connections

We live in a technical world. The consistent advancement of technology has brought about new ways to recruit victims. Pedophiles and perpetrators are consistently learning new ways to dominate vulnerable human beings. Traffickers & pimps recruit over 60% of their victims via the Internet. Victims report having to spend countless hours answering their own "Ads" which were placed on websites such as Backpage, Craigslist, and even Social media such as Facebook and Myspace. Ads are placed by traffickers and pimps, as they cowardly stand watch to ensure every call is answered. Individually, they are forced to meet a nightly quote ranging in the thousands. Victims report having to perform, often cruel and sadistic sexual favors repeatdly, ranging in double numbers in one night. Services purchased via the internet are usually carried out at Motel rooms, or other secret locations arranged by the trafficker and/or pimp. Pimps, traffickers, and "johns" alike hide behind screen names, online aliases, and bogus accounts to both attract at-risk victims, and build a stronger client base.

Once recruited, prostitutes are forced onto the streets, most times from dusk until dawn. They are forced to solicit a steady stream of clients to meet these nightly quotos. Services are carried out in cars, dark secluded streets or alleys, hourly motel and hotel rooms and more for low payment, prices predetermined by their pimp or trafficker. Prostitutes keep none of the monies collected during strolls. All monies are immediately controlled by their pimp or trafficker. This person in turn provides them with food, clothing and housing, again as the pimp or trafficker sees fit. Most prostitutes are not permitted regular hygiene regimens, nutritionally balanced meals, and even warm clothing during winter months. Yet, they are expected to perform on demand.
